The entire color palette for the house came off the Cole & Sons wallpaper Hexagon in Light Grey (discontinued). The slate colored accent color behind the TV, as well as the wall color all came from the paper. It inspired the design of the entire condo. The cerused oak floors installed by the developer helped to also inform the use of reclaimed wood doors to cover the otherwise exposed washer/dryer and the custom built shelves above the TV and in the kitchen.
The reclaimed barn wood headboard, quilt, and animal head in the bedroom played off the modernity of the blue walls and the otherwise contemporary space.
The space though small, felt large because of the large windows draped with custom velvet drapes and accented with gold hardware, and had fantastic visual interest with the wall coverings and wood accents.
